JDM Paint codes: are they different or universal?

Question: Are Galant Paint codes the same world wide, or are they different codes in different markets?

Specifically the paint code I am looking for is a "68" (or 88, it was really hard to read), which is off a JDM import and is almost Black.

Could not find this paint code on any of the Australian aftermarket paint suppliers, which makes sense, because most of our codes contain letters and numbers.

Paintscratch.com lists a paint with the Code X68, which is a shade of black "Obsidian Metallic Clearcoat" but I cant be sure its the one, the name does not instill confidence :-) and obviously they are only listing colors from the USM.

I believe they are the same world wide because when I put my paint code for the new JDM galant I have it came up perfectly here in the US
