Ye I did it a looong time ago. All 7g Galants have distributers in stock form. When you swap ecu's you gotta junk the dizzy and install coilpacks.

You will also have to install: Coil packs, power transistor, knock sensor, and spyder cam sensor.

All straight forward very simple, except the cam sensor. Spyder cam sensor requires you to drill and tap the cam shaft. I opted to just modify the stock Galant sensor by using parts of a 1g cam sensor trigger plate and a lil handy metal work with the good ol dremel.

But now im DOHC 4g64...if your gona do it to go dohc then who cares about the galant cam sensor just using a 97+ style cam sensor. If your gonna use 1g cams like I did you will have to drill and tap the intake cam to accept the sensor trigger very easy to do its soft metal.
