Well I should have my new Hybrid motor in the car by July, hopefully. I just started a new job, so my time is very very limited until im finished with training and all that stuff. Im expecting somewhere around 500whp, the turbo im running will support over 600hp so I gotta see how the rest of the motor holds up under 25psi of boost.

he's doin some crazy $hit to his car an full motor build an evo head swap and i think a tranny swap as well im not sure what company it was but they came on this board and was askin if anyone wanted to make serious WHP and they was serious. as far as a 4cly with that kind of whp i think i will be the closest to it. with a stage 2 SDS and a 5 speed commin i should be pushin 320 to 350whp. and after those two thing i will be doing a motor build to get more out of my app.

Yah - I'm behind. I owe a picture in the For Sale forum, too . I had to get a new card for my camera and it hasn't come in yet - but soon!

As for dyno, I had planned to go down and run on 1/19 - I have to drive south 1 1/2 hours from this little town of mine for the nearest dyno. But now I have to fly to Orlando on Monday and won't return until 1/24 - so I have to push that back, too

BTW - don't get *too* excited - it's just yer run of the mill SDS. Not even a stage 2 - though I'm already looking at that possiblity, just waiting for RIPP to finalize testing and post some costs. Sunjester over in Club3G just went in for the stage 1 to stage 2 upgrade which included the boost pully (10lbs), water/meth injection, injectors, and new Black Box programming. I hope they can offer the upgrade around $650-$750...

I doubt you can get it for that cheap but you never know with havign the SDS alreayd they may give out discounts so you'll have to see I know the meth injection alone is like 500 bucks. So anyway, good luck man I look forward to pics and a dyno run when you get the chance. have a safe trip to orlando.

What makes me think I am gonna get 500hp ? Well its quite simple, the EVO VIII has already broke 525hp on stock internals, and im gonna have pretty much a 2.4 liter EVO motor. The galant block and EVO block are made from the same casting, so all a 4G64 block is is a EVO 4G63 that is bored over to 2.4 liter. Im gonna be running a fully built motor with a DOHC EVO head. Shit check magnus motorsports website, they are making 2.3 stroker kits for the EVO, and that stroker kit is gonna be same as me having the 2.4 DOHC. THe tranny will be the weakest link. Im gonna do a ACT clutch and have the tranny rebuilt and run an aftermarket tranny cooler. I want the tranny to break. This way I can find out what is breaking and I can change things around so that its better. Ohhhh yeah, and im running a 100 shot. That should be enough for 500, shit maybe more.

What bore change is required in a 4g63 to reach 2.4L? Better watch those sleeves, buddy. 500hp will require well over 25lbs boost, and that does bad things to motors, even to 4g63's. I think a stock 4g63 will take about 25lbs...so what is one with weakened sleeves going to be able to take? I would think less, unless you decide to do some motor work...
Very very very roughly: 25 lbs boost = 1.78bar, so your rough untuned estimated guesstimated roughly figured (lol) hp would be in the 300 range, and that is with a fairly generous 165hp unboosted for the evo head swap.
I know of several hondas running 2+bar boost that are just within 500hp range, and they have already upgraded to race trannies, with fully built motors and low-comp pistons. Just be careful, get enough fuel in there, and don't crack your fuggin block. Tune the ass out of that thing, and you should be hitting 400hp under 2bar.

Scoot im not boring out a 4G63 im puttin an EVO head on a 64' block. Our mitsu motors arent open deck like a honda motor, we dont really have sleeves. The only ones who sleeve are the ones who bore alot over and then sleeve and brace it, not in my situation. AMS has already reached 525hp on a STOCK EVO VIII motor, only thing upgraded was the turbo and computer. And im gonna be running a Turbonetics T3/4 Stage 5 62-1 turbo, that thing flows high enough that i shouldnt need to exceed about 20psi to get my target HP. I've been doing alot of homework on this for the past 6 months. And its not a B18C1 or B18C5 its a 2.4, thats .6 liters more displacement, its alot. I agree the tuning is gonna be key, i live by the standard that boost and nitrous doesnt kill motors, poor tuning does. Believe me im gonna baby this thing until im totally positive everything is running PERFECT. Im prolly only gonna run about 10 pounds of boost for the first month or so, just to break her in. And the motor is gonna be fully built, JE pistons, crower rods, 800cc injectors, Standalone EMS, yada yada yada.
