    O2 sensor wiring diagram....

I got a gauge for air-fuel ratio and i don't know which wire to tap into. there are 2 white, 1 grey, and 1black(pretty sure it's ground). But if I could get any help, please help. I got the trusty ol Autometer. thanks

I misread your post the first time. You want one of the white wires.

Thats where I tapped mine. The 02 sensor right before the flex pipe runs up to a connector under the intake manifold, then splices off into this connector which has 4 wires, Red (2)black and white. I tapped the white wire.

Also that is where I ran the wire through the firewall. You SHOULD use a shielded wire when running electronic wire through the engine bay. I did not, but YOU should

My a/f gauge works normal as far as I know...

would you get a more accurate reading if you were to tap into the wires off the ecu? Someone from this board did say that? Or am I having a relapse?

many manufacturer's of the A/F gauge suggest you tap closer to the ECU. they say that since many cars use shielded wires for their o2 sensor wires and tapping them at the engine bay breaks that shield and can cause a distortion in the signal that wire sends. which means ur ecu is getting the wrong signal and the whole domino effect.
