4G64 manual tranny

from the dealer.....the 5 speed tranny from the eclipse is $3560. i am not going to stop in my quest to convert my 8g to manual. surely i could find something cheaper somewhere right? how good would searching junk yards for the tranny be? and if i found something complete...how much would it cost to get it out of the junk car?

i'd collaborate with your mechanic. i mean you can look around and well he has ties with people in the auto parts business so he might hunt one down cuz he really wants your money.
