    FACTORY ECU PART NUMBER! *URGENT*

My computer is acting up and I believe it is time for a change. I do however need to know the part number. I found an ecu on e-bay for 45 bucks, but the problem is they are not sure wether or not its for a manual or an automatic car. I dint thin there was a difference either so I need to know what it is...any help? Oh yeah I have a 96 S

This is what my 98 ES Auto says:

    MD346077
    E2T65380 72 7V18

And I dont think there is a difference between 5spd and auto

If you need an ECU, I will sell you mine for $35 shipped

As long as they are still in good order with no codes showing I am down. So 35 is the best price so far...WhiteGhost? Oh so the 98 should work with my 96? After all the ecu is for the engine components and the engines are the same so...

Im not sure if the 96 and 98 ECUs are the same or not. But it worked perfectly fine last time my car ran.

Are you OBD1 or OBD2? My car was OBD2.

96 and 98 ECUs are essentially the same. The only difference I've noticed is that the pinout numbers are different if you're looking at a manual (locations of pins are the same).

Oh shit I dont freakin know! I have to find out. OBD 1 or 2 huh? Would production date determine this or what? Or does it say anywhere on the car?

    If you have a 96, you're OBD-II.
