I have 19x8 axis sevens with a 235/35/19 tire the offset is 37,I also have the tein springs with kyb agx's.I had to roll the rear fenders for them to fit.The wheels rubbed the rear fenders before I rolled them. The tires are flush with the fenders very nice looking.

Think about it like this. Pretend you are standing between two railings, one on either side of you. Let's say those railings are pretty close to you. You can grab each one with each hand, then push yourself up and hold yourself off the ground. Now do the same thing with the railings really far apart to the point where you have to stretch your arms out all the way. Now try to lift yourself off the ground. You can't do it. It's just too hard. Take that idea and think of your car resting on wheels that are farther apart. That will put alot of stress on the suspension and the lugs as well.</div>

Finally someone got the answer right. It just screams of being ignorant of the engineering that went into building a solid stable precision suspension that will hang tight in the curves as well as take punishment from bumps and potholes.
If you make it look like a skateboard, you've redistributed all the force vectors and voided 20-30 years of development that gave us cars that will do more than just go in a straight line, like the old musclecars. They'd haul ass but don't try to take a curve or try to stop it in a hurry.
For those reasons, IMHO, it not only makes the car look stupid, it makes the driver look stupid too.
Sorry, I know I'm too new here to flame, but this is one topic that's really gotten on my nerves since it became popular. I just admire precision engineering and I hate seeing it screwed up to render something so totally non-functional.

I'd say try to stick with an offset of +42 or better. I believe the stock is +45. But yeah, like its been said before pushing the offset too low, while looking good, really will do a number on the suspension after a while.

quick question guys, i'm planning to buy some wheels for my 7G, i 'm considering an 18x8wheels, tires included, however it has an offset of 38mm. Now just hold on a sec, my car is not dropped, however, would it still rubbed my fenders, especially the back? would it work?

I got the exact same size wheel as 18X8 with 38 offset. They fit fine on the 8G. They really fit nicely, even though everbody told me that it will rub, and it hast. There still a lot of room to drop in the front and a bit of room to drop in the back. I'll post my picture as soon as i can

nice that they fit fine on an 8G, but how about on a 7G? yeah, pics would help and i'm pretty sure it looks nice!

So is +38 on 18x8s really pushing it or probably still OK?

this was my first wheels, its brabus monoblock VI replica, many people flame because the model was meant for continental car and not for japanese car but it looks nice anyway it's 19x8.5 with +38 offset the tires 225/35....no rubbing issued, the rear fender need to be rolled

the problem is that the rear wheels has negative camber.since it's kind of sticking out abit so when u want to do the custom rear camber kit, u'll have to do wide body so that the wheels don't hit the fender...

I got my new wheels now the VOLK GT-C 19x8.5 with +43, hope this one fits fine.....still gather some money to get new tires hehehhe....19" tires are quite expensive....

qbcrusher: if u got 18X8 with +38 offset....I think u should be fine....

wow. this was one of my first posts from back in the day

i really liked those wheels you have Indo. the reason i asked this question was EXACTLY for those wheels that you have on. i could only find them in a +38 offset and 8" wide. but i decided that they do belong on a mercedes. they look very good tho.

I have Evo wheels on my galant, 17x8 with 35mm offset with 235 tires. The rears rub, but fender rolling will fix it. And the fronts stick out from the body 1/2 inch, but it looks good. So, once I get everything clean and new tires mounted (switching to 225 likely....) I'll post pics.

it's about 1 finger gap from the fender to the tires.... I know it looks really nice but If i were u I won't go that low again...I learned my lesson....the inner side of the tire wore out pretty badly...both the front and rear side...it took less than 6 month to wore out the tires.. ..

actually I really like this wheels.....even though its a knock off but its a very strong wheels...it can stand pothole very well hehhe....my friend had the ssr wheels once it bend pretty easily...

Werd, unless you gonna be riding 14's or 15's with the low pros it wont work at all. Maybe if you had a jeep or some shit it might look hot.
Anything else without the proper modifications is just asking for trouble.

Not how fast your car goes but how good u drive going fast.
