putting some pod gauges in my 7 g....

my question is about the a/f wiring. the pod gauge I have is an auto meter "phantom" there are 3 wires coming out of this thing. a red, purple, and black. I am guessing the black is for ground. can anyone tell me what the other wires are for? please help me out?

red would be for power. is ther a connector coming out of the gauge for the lights? The purple most likely is your a/f wire. Your best bet is to splice it in with the a/f wire in the ECU. If memory serves me correctly it is pin#59 on the ECU but you better check before you go splicing because I am probably wrong.

I'm going to be getting some gauges as well, and am new to the performance side of the 7g. is there something out there that tells us about the ECU and what is what. I have a 3 gauge pod, and i'm thinking about going oil temp, oil pressure and alt, or air fuel mix

I think that info can be found in the service manual

    red/black is definitely power/ground
purple you hook up to your ECU or o2 sensor.
pray you get a healthy reading
