I have the mods for it =D I suspect im boggin down in the lower rpm ranges BECAUSE of my stock exhaust, 1g head is just too big for 2 1/4" piping.

And no I dont live in cali, however as I said above when you go for your inspection you just install your old exhaust back on if they kept the flanges there its very simple job.

I did pass smog test in NY though without any cats on the car, but I know cali is much stricter and you probably have to have much lower levels then we do here.

Typically if you fail inspection they give you a warning and you have to go back within a certain timeframe (maybe a month or so?) showing that it was fixed.

oh i'll pass smog....my girlfreinds dad has a smog shop.

and no, im not going to put bigger exhaust, i was just wondering waht it would sound like, no way i would waste money for that.

so does anyone know what happenes when u get caught with no cat???
