    HID is great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys, just a little update on the car...I got the HID's installed today. Damn...I can actually see where I'm going. No more missed pot-holes.

I got myself the Xenon 9006 kit with purple bulbs. The install took me and my friend about one hour.

The finished product like I said earlier is great. Now I need to do amber bulbs for the sides.

I'll take some pics of the car with the lights turned on sometime tomorrow.

I went through my buddy who's the general mannager at Garage SPL (remember poster of red veilside supra in august issue of super-street ). The brand for HID's is Xenon. The retail on those is 700 but I got them for 450. The install wis really easy too. You have to cur a couple of holes in your light cups (gray pieces that cove up the bulb). After that it's like a puzzle you have to put together.

You can check with GDI imports I think Anthony was selling HID kits for 450+shipping. Make sure you don't get something that's really cheap, because it can brake. I think that phillips is a good company as well, they also make ballasts for PIAA HID kit which is illegal in US, because it is twice as bright at the HID we have here.

The HID are legal...at least the ones in the states. I don't think thtey will ever become illegal because of the AUDIs, BMWs, Acuras, Lexuses, and other brands that have HID from the factory.

How do they look: I got myself the purple set. The light itself looks...purple. But the light it produces is bluish white. It's really bright. I drove around yesterday at 11:30 p.m. and it feels like I'm riding in the day time...I can see all the bumps, etc.

So I give HID's two thumbs up, and I will never go back to regular bulbs.

Pavel, just a thought, maybe post a poll on how many would be interested in an HID kit for there car, maybe for 8gs and 7gs and talk to your friend, maybe see if you can get a group buy together. People will get HIDs, and your friend will make a few sales? I would like to get those, but im in debt, need to fix my car first!

One time this Mercedes was coming at me and his HID was sooo kicking that I didn't see the stop sign 25 feet in front of me, first time I got to try out my ABS.

But on a serious tip, Pavel, I was concerned that our Headlight assembly would not be able to take the wattage. Just by using high wattage bulbs I managed to burn dime size spots in my headlight lens. Hope you have better luck with HID Bro.
Actually I have two dull spots in my headlight. I hope it's not from the light. If it is, then I really hate mitsubishi for putting out crappy product on the market. My friend with a civic uses them, as well as others with supras and stuff like that.

The guy who sold them to me said that they work fine on OEM headlights, only if you have the aftermarket ones, you might melt the inside.

...and I thought I was the only one galant with HID  . I guess I'm the only 7G with HID . So your kit is blue? Mine is purple...really really purple when it starts up. After that it's a bright blue light.

Yeah I've had mine for almost 2 years. I don't use them anymore as they are too bright for oncoming traffic.
