I haven't even started my 4G63T swap yet so it will be some time before I go to the track again. After I ran my 15.3 I pulled out my dash, heater core, heater controls, a/c and everything you can imagine. all thats in my car right now is a 1G eclipse steering wheel, short shifter, and my instrument cluster is sitting on top of the front support bar. I pulled the head off and put it on another galant that i have so if it was still running I'd bring it to the track. I really wanted to know if I could get that thing under 15.0.

^Nice man! Does the 1g Eclipse steering wheel directly bolt up? They didnt have air bags so you no longer have a driver airbag correct? Ive been wanting to go with an aftermarket steering wheel but dont want to get rid of my airbag untill I have a full cage/harness.

Yeah they bolt right up. I used to have an aftermarket steering wheel in my first 7G and had to buy an adapter for a 1g eclipse. I had an aftermarket wheel in this one too but someone stole it and I wan't about to put my green wheel back in so I went to the local junk yard and snagged one.

Finally got some time at the track. Only got to run 4 runs and the car broke after the 4th run. Didnt really break, just loose connector.

Best time of the night: 14.3 @ 102mph with a 2.3 60ft. Will post slip tomorrow.

not to mention a very very mild tune and your first time ever at the track.

Didnt have much extra crap. A few tools, atlas, and some crap in the glovebox. Tire pressure was 35 for the first run then let some air out but didnt have my gauge but it was about 30psi.

Don't go with the nitto's. I have had them and you really have to heat them up like hell to get them sticky. The majority of us Central New Yorkers run the bfg's. That would make a good sticky. See what everyone is running for drag radials or street tires!!

    ROFL.

seriously though...im still puzzled by the fact that 7g's can run all these times and 8g's (mine inparticular) are running 18's....high 17's at best. Theres a 100 lb weight difference but thats it...maybe god just doesnt like me.

8gs are heavier by about 300lbs. Maybe the 7g trans is geared better or more efficient? The 7g Auto is still a slugbox though. 7g 5spds can be pretty quick in stock form though.

No 5spd swap. Came 5spd. Its an S model with no options and I removed everything in the interior except for 2 front seats, a steering wheel, shifter, pedals and an instrument cluster!! lol

I don't drive it anymore so I thought i'd gut it a little. As far as mods...i'll try to remember all of them but there's so few,
Stock ex. manifold to 2.25" straight pipe where the cats supposed to be to a free flowing fatty muffler,
    Polyurethane filled motor mounts,
4 inch air filter with mas adapter,
    sprint lowering springs,
    ST struts,
    ummm
    ummmm
    Can't think of anything else.
    Stock plugs, stock wires,
    Advanced timing! Crazy advanced!!
    STREET TIRES!! No drag radials.
    Falken Ziex ZE-512 size 215/60/14

After I ran the 15.3 I took out the dash, air bags, heater controls, a/c, etc. cut out underside of hood, and installed a set of nitto drag radials. Made alot of money street racing but never made it to the track after that.

I just took my 94 S 5-spd, stock on street tires without part of the backseat to a 16.65X at 82.9X. I'll upload the timeslip soon.
