    Stuip question

    what is that little filter that you can buy, i think it is called the air relief filter looks like a tiny intake filter. what dose it do and where dose it go? sorry for the stuip question, just not sure.

    It is called a breather and basically replaces the connection line between the air intake passage and the side of the valve cover. You would need 2 of them, if your planning on using breathers.

    Why would you need 2? You would put one on the valve cover to vent but the other side - on your intake - should just be blocked off.

    Some people don't like recirculating gases from the valve cover which contain CO2, carbon and oil back through the intake. Since it goes in the intake after the filter, it *can* contribute to TB/butterfly fouling or slightly affect combustion. Really, though, it does very...

    Just use an oil catch can and you don't have to worry about the oil and carbons going into your intake manifold and throttlebody.This way you still get the unburnt gas and vapors to reburn.
