    HH Automatic Tranny number

    Greetings,
I have a HH Galant. (the name kind of ggives that away)
I am after the tranny number for my model.
It is a November issue HH 1990 Galant.
    It is a number like....

    F4a22x

The x is the number i am after. Aparently it is on the top of the transmission case in the engine bay....

I have 14 years of road grime all over the case and I have degreased it in an effort to read the number but as yet haven't found it.

If anyone could be bothered to look at thier transmission (if they own an Automatic HH model GSR galant) and post the number here I would be very thankful.

Does anyone have any experiance with imported low kilometer replacement transmissions from Japan. I can get one (when I get this munber) for $825 AU installed.

Thanks in advance for your time.

And have a great Christmas everyone too.

    Hey Guys,

It turns out the number I am after is "mod4" ???

I went to a tranny shop and they cursed and swore and found the number for me.

Thanks to anyone who made an effort to find the number for me.

    "F4a22MOD4"

was the HH GSR AUTO tranny number.
