    Shifting an auto tranny

I have heard that shifting an auto is bad, but I also heard it wont harm it. So now I am asking the guys of TGC? Will it harm an auto tranny if you manually shift. I searched and found nothing I was looking for.

the only way it wouldnt be bad is if it was a manual..it'a AUTO for a reason.

doesnt seem like people have had many problems doing it, but proceed with caution...it is an auto.

Don't do it unless you're Auto-9. It's fine if you shift perfectly, but in most case you are gonna slip up. This happened to me on my old 7G and although warranty covered the damages, it would of cost my pocket book around $400.00

    Proceed with caution :x
