    sumitomo or falken?

first off, id like to say that i know this is in the wrong forum, but honestly, who look sin the tires forum any ways? i just need a quick answer, so you can move it later on.

ok well im in between buying a set of tires for my 3000gt, and i was wondering which brand is more recognizable, sumitomos or falken?
even known falken for a long time and i thought they are really good tires, and i have just barely heard of sumitomos.
but the guy im buying my rims/tires from, says that he thinks sumitomos are more recognizable.
so which tires should i get?
    heres a link to both:
    http://www.prostreetonline.com/buy/falken_...rb_fk451_tires/
and....i cant find the link for the sumitomo's.
    they are both 265/35/18
so which tire do YOU think is better?

Who cares what is more recognizable?

Stick with Falkens. Azenis are some of the stickiest tires out there.

well said, falkens are great. i love my falken tires(lol). my falken tires are awesome around turns, wet/dry conditions. but of course like most radial tires, they suck in the snow.

Treadware on the falken fk451 is 280 and the ZE-512 is 360 and Sumitomo HTR Z II is 220

does anybody know what that means?
is the how thick the thread is? or how long it lasts or something?

It means the Falkens will last longer. I wouldn't go below 300 on treadware for a daily driving tire. You'll most likely only get 20,000 miles on the Sumitomos with that wear rating. www.vulcantire.com for great prices on Falkens...your Falken 451s are $176, compared to the $250+ on that other sight. They are a good seller, and will ship cheap as well. I'd go with the 512 series, and they are only 159 each at vulcan.

I got some falken ziex , and they look thinner than I expected. The more I think about it, most likely my rim is too wide.
