    sh!ts and giggles

    Just for shits and giggles...

What do you think it would take to create a 12 second AUTOMATIC Galant?

    Start Listing/Fantasizing.

pshhhh pshhhhhh some twin turbos, nos, if you must insist in keeping the galant tranny, get a level 10 upgrade...all kinds of motor work

or a 4g63tt swapwith some nos, with level 10 upgraded tranny

redone exhaust...and 2 large vtech decals on both sides of the car(2 vtech decals = 100hp!)

    Engine:
    6A12TT Twin Turbo V6 JDM VR-4
    port&polish: head, intake manifold,
bore, and then sleeve the cylinder for high boost
    custom turbo pistons
    titanium valve spring, rocker, valve
    Balance shaft
custom cam shaft for optimised intake and exhaust profile
    cam gear for cam tuning

    Turbo
upgrade turbo to at least 16G, titanium turbine, port&polish turbo
RalliArt GT spec biggest intercooler you can find
    cutome turbo manifold
    Blow off Valve

    Fuel&Air
direct port fuel injection, possibly a two injector per cylinder setup
RalliArt upgrade fuel pump, 2 of them from 3000GT or cutom ones
    at least 950cm fuel injectors

    Exhaust
RalliArt exhaust, test pipe, straight through muffler or better yet, on track days, just take everything out after the header

    Engine Management:
standalong Engine management system. Motec or RalliArt
    ECU tuning
    S-AFC
    Turbo Timer
    Turbo Boost Controller
    Datalogger for analysis

    TRanny:
The stock tranny is not good for drag cuz it's only got 4 badly grouped gears... spend 12,000 and buy a RalliArt sequential gearbox... with steering wheel control gear change... they handle a lot power and will definitely help

    tires
drag slick on 15' light weight rims.. volk racing or Advan.. Racing Hart is heavy compare to volk and Advan

    Suspension
Tein SS, Electronic Control Suspension with 16 way adjustable damper settings,
any type of bar there is.. strut bar, sway bar, tie bar...

Weight reduction, rollcage, no excessive audio components

damn.. that should get u a 10 sec car if not come pretty damn close to it.... so what are we looking at... I am thinking 30,000 bucks to build that.... and believe me... no one will ever double a Galant ever again... heheheeh! I think I have way too much time at hand...

Uhm, what 4G64 said. That all sounds good to me.

Or strap an F-16 Turbine Engine to the trunk, flip the switch, and kiss your ass goodbye.

I found this jdm 4g63 non turbo on eBay, but there is a reserve so I dont know what they want for it...but it also comes with a fwd 5spd tranny

would this be hard to mate to my us 7g? i would need a new ECU and im not for sure if it comes with wiring harness or not

but would I be better of just getting a 4g63t instead?

oh ya, put this link in your sig instead of the yahoo link...yahoo doesnt like remote hosts

Why...the answer to this question also happens to be the quickest way to find yourself in the Darwin Awards!

    1.) Buy JATO Rocket
2.) Duct Tape JATO to Car trunk
3.) Hire some idiot to drive while you click the stopwatch
4.) Watch idiot make a 2 second 1/4th mile stretch
5.) Swear proliferately as you realise your car is about to become a happy smear of grease and gears on the side of a cliff

    Now seriously...

Some good suggestions, but if it wasn't mentioned, I'd recommend getting a high performance Torque Converter, I can't remember the website right now but if I do, I'll post the URL to it

Levelten has high performance torque converters. Advertised to take up to a full second off your 1/4 mile.

It feels great 8) , but I'll know more when I get the turbo rebuilt.

Hmm, definitely doable. Just depends on how many passes you want this car to make. If only one, I can make it happen with a nearly stock car and $2000. But there won't be a second pass. If you're talking about a streetable ride, it would take more time, effort, testing, and definitely a sack of cash. But, of course it could be done. Sheesh, look at the old muscle cars. Over half of them are automatics (most of 'em 3 speeds at that) and they are capable of single digit passes. Normally aspirated (with the laughing gas of course).

Me personally, I like normal aspiration (to make things more challenging).
I'd start with heavy work on the Head, Intake manifold, and exhaust. Sky high compression, Nitrous to get off the line quicker, and making the transmission capable of handling the strain. $10K and about a month and I could do it and make it look good.
