Nice manifold, the reason the did that is because its in a RWD car. so the engine is gonna sit long ways front to back in the engine bay the same way an SR20 sits in a Silvia. If youve ever seen any of the nopi race Brent Rau in the RWD ACT Eclipse has it the same way. They mount it like that so they have easy access tot he turbo and stuff for servicing, not to mention they can make a hood scoop and get the air directly into the turbo. With the engine going front to back they can mount it up with a ford gearbox or a bad ass powerglide tranny. That kinda set up is for a true RACE CAR. If you check out some of the pics on the 240sx boards, alot of them guys use 4G63T motors in their cars and just mount them front to back, its a fairly simple swap from what I hear.
