thats why i said to disconnect the remote wire and see if the amp turns off. if the amp turns off, its something wrong with whatever the remote wire is hooked up to. if it does'nt turn off, then its the amp thats the problem
well yeah...that is what i meant...didn't know how to say it...got words mixed up...and told you that i am not the electrician so...my bad... at least i did try to help you out, right??

and pinoy...what u got to say about this?? did i do something wrong with the wiring??

are you sure your head unit is grounded?

    think about this.

    so your chassis is ground.

the case of your head unit is ground in most cases.

you use the metal brackets to connect the head unit to some piece of metal that is connected to the ground.

so your head unit is grounded still

hmm...im gonna have to look at it again...i'm sure there is a black wire hanging around in there...i'm sure it is the one from the deck, but not too sure, considering the fact that i know what u mean...well, maybe there are two ground wires?? i don't know...and since i am gonna open that part up again, i might as well take notes on the wiring to help out serstyz, right?? thanks pinoy

oh yeah...serstylz...just to let you know...i took off the wiring harness made for our cars...and made it straight wire to wire...i wanted to make the wiring shorter...making it harder and more complicated for the person who tries to steal it...if it does try to get stolen...k?

BTW guys the BEST ground you can have for you HU is you antenna b/c it is grounded to the chasis

uhm. if you are really worried about the radio getting stolen i'd really secure it instead of using the trim bezel ot hold the radio. leave your doors unlocked and give me less 30 seconds and i'll be in and out with your radio. my old head unit was secured like that in hopes that sum1 would actually steal it so i can get a new 1. but no1 ever did...

UPDATE: I dropped in some new fuses and have all my car's electricity working correctly. All i need is for someone to tell me which fuse in the in-house fusebox is for audio... the book tells me it is space 19 but space 19 doesnt even allow fuses to go in... all I know is it's a 20 amp fuse, can someone run out to their car n let me know which fuse it is exactly? Thanks in advance.

the space for fuse 19 is for the premium audio.

the radio radio fuse is under the hood. its a 10a. its fuse #2 i believe. its one of the ones that has the yellow holder.

yea i changed that one, I just need to replace the audio one itself inside the cabin. At least I think I do.. I noticed my player isnt illuminating, could I be getting no sound because its messed up and not a fuse itself?
