$395 for a manual tranny

Guys the junkyard is charging me $395 dollars for the 5 speed manny, now this does not include the shifter nor the petals, its just the tranny.

Another junkyard is charging me $200 for the petals and the shifter.

What do you guys think? Thats too much? Or is it worth?

No...that's way too much. I paid like $70 for my pedal assy and that included shipping.

junk yards have been a ripoff lately it seems. on ebay you can find truly the best prices for stuff. i went to an all eclipse junk yard yesterday to get a bunch of misc turbo parts, and they charged me so much for some of the stuff, i could have bought all the parts brands new for maybe 20% more than what i paid.

i paid $373 on ebay and i got the 5spd tranny PLUS:
Driver and passenger side axles
5spd tranny perches for side, rear, and front
5spd side tranny mount
Shifter cables
shifter assembly
clutch pedal
brake pedal
flywheel
broken slave and master cylinder (replaced)
dash gauge cluster
5spd flywheel-to-crank bolts
huge bag of misc. bolts
inspection plate
