i had my tranny rebuilt for that. don't do it. just drive right, no need to accelerate faster than you need to.

best idea ever... while driving in reverse, flip into N and rev the rpm's up to 6 just before you redline and slam that bitch into drive. What you get as an awesome peel out....

not exactly the explaination i was lookin for but apparently i shouldnt do it...what if your tryin to accerlerate faster like at the track or sommin or off the red when racing someone else...should you just leave it in 3rd or sommin or what?

  14. #14
Michal...to answer your question...put it in D and just floor it....

automatics...if you have an 8g...they're computer controlled...so it will shift better than you can just moving the shift up a click....if you want manual so damn bad....do a swap and stop bein a ricer

hes right you know. now i saw a 4 door Mazda Protege turbo over the weekend, that can be considered a race car. The turbo sounded amazing.

Hey, it wasn't made to be a racecar, but with money one can work that around... so just don't flush the G rightaway, because without knowing that, nobody would be here praising his "family sedan"

When I floor it on D gears changes exactly at 6k rpm. Is it normal? or should be higher?

I ain't flushing shit. Yea, you can turn a Galant into a race car. First thing you might buy is a MANUAL TRANSMISSION, which makes the question pretty much void.
