what makes you want to go with coilovers?

Webhosting for less than $3 a month? put "pinoyesv6" as a promo code.

well, this is coming from a person who hasnt dropped his car yet, so keep that in mind. what i have HEARD is that with coilovers, unless they are a very good company, will ride pretty shitty. and springs will ride a lil nicer. but on the other hand, with coilovers, u can change the height.

it might help us help you if we knew what you were looking for. doing it jsut for looks? just for handling/performance? wanna keep the smoothest ride possible? etc etc.

Unless you wanna spend the cash on some JIC or TEIN SS Dampers I'd say just get springs. TEIN and some KYB AGX (or GR2) should give you a drop that can handle 19s.

i vote for neither. get tein basics. they are non-adjustable for dampening but they are ride height adjustable and less than $1000.00 (not sure about the exact price since i have ss-p's). with the ride height adjustment you can get the exact look you want and lower and raise according to conditions (show vs. daily driving). if i could go back i would have gotten coilovers instead of springs from the beginning (problem is there were none made when i dropped the car in 1999!) here is my car dropped on 19's and tein ss-p's so that the gaps are 1 finger in front and back:

I'm with Reelax. I love my Tein SS-P Dampers. They do not ride like shit. They are better than my old Progress spring setup. The Tein SS-P Dampers can be a little noisey compared to springs, but they definitely do not ride shitty. I can only assume the Tein Basic Dampers would also ride nicely.

With 19s I definitely say go with coilovers or tein basics. Much like reelax and DANJ, height adjustability is key especially if your going for a desired look. My next setup will be the tein basics.

If you want a very reputable and quality company for a bit less than the tein setup, you can always run Ground Control coilovers with some KYB GR2's. This is the setup I have on my car right now and the ride quality is not bad at all. This setup would run you around 700 total, maybe a tad less.
