any fix for the "soft" brakes?

Lots of people have commented on how the brakes on the galant don't
feel very nice. They are often described as "spongy" or "soft".
Consumer reports simply said that the brakes were "not impressive" in
    their review of the car.

Lots of people also have problems with rotor warping, noise, vibration,
etc. I've had luck fixing these problems with aftermarket rotors and
pads, but it still feels soft and spongy.

Has anyone out there solved this problem on their car?
Surely there must be something that can be done. Bigger calipers?
Different brake booster hardware? Just replacing rotors and pads doesn't
    seem to cut it.

Or do we all just have to live with it?

you could try stainless steel brake lines.
you could also try the brembo swap.

Thats wierd. I have a pretty stiff brake pedal. Although it might be one of the differences between the USDM Galants and the World-spec cars.

I'd rather have the knowledge and ability to do it than the money to buy it already done.

idk about brembo improving soft pedal feel ..the pedal actually goes down more then stock...

ss brake lines can do wonders, but when was the last time you bled the whole system?;if you check the fsm you can also see how to adjust pedal freeplay

I'd first ask what are you comparing this 'soft' brake feel against? What other cars have you driven?

Suggestions may be a little tough to get to the OP of this topic. It's been 5 years, until revived today.
