    Where to put jack stands?

Due to excessive vibration during braking I am planning to take my front disks off and have them machined. What I wonder is what is the best place to put the jack stands when I lift the front end of the car?

it shows you in your manual

but where the lip of your skirts are behind your front wheel... you'll see two little indentions.... that is where you put them. make sure to put something behind your rear tires though just for added safety, and have both jacks up on the same height, and keep the jack up on one side and locked., just in case

You can put them under you'r lower control arms - just as good. Benefit to supporting via the lower control arms is you don't have to jack the car as high since your front suspension will remain compressed. Of course if you're swapping out the shocks, springs or any other suspension parts, you don't want to lift or support via the control arm...
