    angel eye fog lights

anyone know any brands of angel eye fog lights with a single color halo
I keep on seeing ones with a multi color
and I keep seeing single color but they are driving lights
and from what I see driving lights have a more concentrated light output
vs fog lights which are wider

those are driving lights not fog lights.

this is a driving light beam pattern

this is a fog light beam pattern

you see how the light on the driving light is long but on the fog light it is shorter and wider.

Unfortunantely, the Hella Optilux 2500 are driving lights (very good ones at that)

The problem is most people generalize the auxillary lights as "fog lights" when there are actually different types for different applications - see here:

ohhhh, wow, i never knew that, okay, interesting. so what would be the purpose of getting driving lights if we already have our headlights? i guess its a good thing i didnt get them. is the difference in the bulb? or in the housing?

  6. #6
Traditional Driving lights are designed to increase the range and brightness of your vehicle high beams

the difference is with the housing. the reflector in the housing to be more exact.

you are absolutely correct. and I have driving lights right now and you can actually see the concentrated beam on the ground infront of the car. I miss the output of the stock fog lights, but I like the angel eyes.
My driving lights dont shine like the ones in the above picture though.
maybe depends on the quality. I don't know what brand I have but they definitely aren't hella

I've got the Hella Optilux 2500 Angel Eye driving lights - they are actually pretty damn bright, but not as good as fogs in inclement weather

depends on where you want it. different beams deliver light to different areas
