Seems as though they sold you. I've been using both HKS Filters and K&N's and yet to have any problems. The REWorks filter that I'm running now is pretty good and there is little to no dust in the intake the last tim eI cleaned it. The decision is yours.

a filter with good airflow AND good filtration is an oxymoron. think of it like this, a flyscreen will be the most free flowing filter but it will be terrible for dirt filtration. on the otherhand, a block of wood will filter out everything, but wont have good airflow. its true that an engine can only do so much with X amount of air. but for a filter to say that it filters better than the stock filter, u would think that it also sucks in less air.

Ebay? or I can get it at Autozone?

autozone will most likely have to order it and it shouldnt take more then 3 days i know cuz i work at one and thats how long it took for mine
