Passenger Sideskirt Damage prob have to Pay out the A$$

This weekend I was driving home and coming around a turn when a huge ass Rotwilder comes darting into the middle of the street, so natutally i swerve and aim for the shoulder ( thinkin if i hit his as itz over for my spoiler, hood etc.). So hit the dirt still going pretty fast and im approaching a huge ass sand dune infront of a, get this (auto shop). So i break and steer left doing a slide. After a big ass sand cloud covers the inside of my car i get out and look at the damage. Two flats and body damage to the side skirt on the passengers side right beneth the doors. Te freakin thing is bent up so the doors cant open. Im looking at it thinkin maybe i can just buy a piece from a dealer and throw it on. Hell no, im looking and the more i look the more i see there is no places where the skirt is seperated from the rest of the body. So my question is will i have to buy a entire whole new passenger side frame to my car just because the sideskirt is out of commission???

Since our cars don't have side skirts, I believe you are talking about the rocker panel. I dinged mine up driving over a downed tree during Hurricane Floyd. I never got it fixed though since I knew I would have side skirts covering it up shortly after it happened.

Here is a pic of my dent.

Yes, you are rite. That is the same exact piece that i dinged the hell out of. I need to get it replaced. I guess if i bought a kit it would cover it. But i would rather have it fixed since it is so damn dented that i cant open my doors. Its not drastic. but its a pain in the ass because it's bent in at the top so its holding my doors from opening. Any suggestions. I think i already know the answer. Im prob going to have to buy an entireene passingers side just because that little piece is fucked up. any guess on costs

can't you just get a prybar and bend it back down...at least enough so that you can open the door? I guess that most of us would really need to see the picture to know what your options are. I'm also thinking that if you take it to a body shop someone will know what to do...

OJ hit the top of the dent in the back door with a hammer and a piece of 2x4.. Make sure you do this in a DOWNward motion. Try not to damage the back door doing this. You should be able to open door then. Once door is open hammer it down some more. They are right tho , Now this is frame damage. This is one of the tuffest dents to fix. Its the hardest pieces of metal in your car.

Thats how you get the door open tho. If you cant get a 2x4 on the lip Use a screwdriver and tap on it. Not putting the point in the dent but lay the driver sticking stright into the dented area on the bottom of the sill and then tap it till it moves.

Your looking at $1300 easy to fix, depending on the body shop.

    Sorry to hear about.

Did a dinosaur snag you or something.. gawd damn.... that ish looks messed up!!

Stupid dawg.... I would have ran after it... that sucks.. claim it on your insurance man.. go ahead and dint the front and rear bumpers... and claim it.. then order you a body kit and call it a day?

I think that would be the best way to handle it.. that way instead of coming out the pocket full cost just deductable.. which should be more than 500.. thats a little easier on your pockets and that will insure everything gets fixed!!.. Might as well get new rims too.. just pay the difference for the left side wheels...

This is a good time for you to upgrade...

Hey what other reason would you be paying insurance for? Use that crap... it may go up a little but your car will be fixed.. and better than before...
