the air bypass valve works. the question is, when does it work.

if you dunk your filter fully in some water it will work.

if you are driving through some hard rain for a long period of time, and water trickles up your intake slowly, then it doesn't work.

the aem air bypass valve will work on other brand intakes. but aem won't gaurantee that it will work on other intakes. so if it odesn't work for some reason, then you're screwed.

I had AEM bypass valve on my custom intake and it last about 3 months till the connections broke. It definitely not suitable when the intake isn't bolted to the engine (like the INJEN intake).

Just watch your local 5 day forecast whether or not you need a CAI or a short intake. Planning ahead is alot cheaper than buying a $50 gizmo.

    mine broke also
the couplings dried up and cracked and I opened my hood 1 day to find the intake in 2 pieces seperated cause of the boken bypass valve

but yea I guess it worked while I had it
but I also haven't had any problems without it for the 6 or 7 months since it broke
