manual trans fluid check

Can anyone help me find the fluid check plug for a 89 manual galant?

The manual doesn't give a very good description.

should be about half way up the front of the trans(it will be facing the radiator). on my car, it has a 19mm head. here's a hint. do NOT drain your trans until you can break this filler plug loose.

Yeah thats where I thought it was, just wanted to check.

I am having a heck of a time trying to break it, and i figured i better get that off before I drained the oil. Thanks for the help.

another hint, use a 6 pt socket. i try to only use 6 pt sockets. if you round this off, you will have to drop the trans to get it off. there is no clearance in there.
