Vegas heat vs CAI

So I was at the Mitsu dealership, and one of the techs commented on my CAI. He said something along the lines of, "those things are great during cooler weather, but when it heats up, you suck in air that is hotter than it would be if you didn't have a CAI; you should consider short ram or stock in the summer instead."

Any truth to this? It does get to about 115 or more during the summer, is it possible that a CAI would actually be worse during the summer in Vegas? I doubt that this has been covered, so you dickweeds that always come out of the shadows talking that "go search" shit can STFU. Thx!

well think about it, even when its hot as shit, when air is blown on you at a fast moving pace, like ur on a bike or something, its cool air right? colder than the rest of the atmosphere at least. So the air that the intake is bringing in is still colder than the sitting air underneath ur hood that you take it w. a short ram

We all cant install a fan in our engine bay next to the intake filter.

but will that heat put off by the engine warm up the alunimum intake, causing the "cold air" to pass through warm tube?

Negative, because the cool air recipricates the heat transfer being absorbed from the exterior of the tube from the engine causing a downward reverse in the ambient temperature of the intake air being consumed by the motor.
