don't quote me, but i'm pretty sure any turbo kit for the 8G/3G 4g64 will fit.

    You sure you don't have a 2.4 4G64? :?

In Europe most 8G Galants are 2.0 4G63, with 98 or 100 kW.

We also have a 2.5 V6, and the 2.4 GDI engine.
Not sure about engine codes on them though..

Hi, a couple friends of mine are on the same project in Hungary, but most of them say if you can find a 4G63T, the swap is your best bet (cheaper and less trouble)

    Okey.....hmm..I´m confused..

    I got a 4G63....2.0L 4-cyl....

I found a turbokit for the 4-cyl, but the owner (turbokits.com) told me that the products were´nt any good, so he stopped making them....so I´m looking for another kit as you know......

PEANOTATION: Any turbokit....I cant even find one kit?

GTX: Swap the whole engine?? I didnt know that there was a Galant 4G63 with turbo? I just thougt it was the VR4 who had turbo?

So...what do you guys think of the car btw?

Cheapest way would be to buy everything in pieces... but it looks like you should be able to just buy any kit made for a newer EVO based on your engine setup.

Correct, but you can get a turbo 4g63 from a 2G Eclipse GST, and I assume you could bolt that in. (Rather than the 6A12TT from the VR4) Again, I do not know this for sure.

I know a guy who's building his 4g63 for boost right now, he started with a stroker kit (just an idea) with the crankshaft from the 4g64 and new pistons etc. All together I know for fact his spending the same money he could spend on a full 4g63T. (The question is if you find one in the EU)

    Here's a liitle help:

I'd have to say no... he 4G63 pictured is opposite the 2G motor, but the same as a new EVO.

yes, true. if there's no kit, you should be happy about that because piecing together your own kit is cheaper and better, just infinitely harder.

Thanks for correcting me, I wasn't sure about it. So he could still use the newer EVO engine.

    here is the deal,

since I am trying a long time to find all the parts that is needed to fit a Turbo to my I4 4G63 engine (8G Galant). All the Turbo's and manifolds even complete block from the EVO IV thru VIII will fit. BUT YOU HAVE TO GET AN OTHER TRANNY. The thing is the tranny on a European 8G Galant has the startermotor right in front of the engine en that thing is getting in your way if you trying to install a turbo.

If you want to use EVO turbo's on a 4G63 Galant engine you must decrease compression ratio, install the biggest intercooler you can fit to prevent detonation.

Hey Okey been out for a while.

The turbo project is up and running. Can anyone tell me if there´s some place where I can order new headers/manifold (dont know the name in english) The one I have goes to far down, so the turbo would be placed under the oil...thing...
So I need a header that goes straight out from the engine and then I´ll place the turbo underneath.

    Please!

Got some new 19" on it btw! check it out!

    Popzz,

EVO or Eclipse exaust manifold will fit. (depending on where you want to place your turbo) You probably need to change te fitting to the manifold depanding on the turbo you are going to fit.

Keep me informed about your project. I am still interested in how to fit a turbo to the european 4G63 Galant

    Good luck!

Sounds like a stock 2g Eclipse/Talon turbo manifold will work best for you. Or pretty much any aftermarket 1g/2g Eclipse turbo manifold.

We can ship overseas if your interested in a 4G63 manifold. Does your engine sit the same way as the US Galants do?

    hi,

    nice ride dude looking good.
if you need injectors take the injectors from a evo 550cc.
but i hear that the stuff in norway is very expensive.
i have a friend in norway and he comes pretty much to the netherlands.
    maybe we can help you??????
    do you have pics.
and i put ones a turbo an a 4g63, and i put a hole new engine 4g63t from a eclipse in a galant.
    a hole motorswap was cheaper.
and easyer to fit, and fast done.
