its really about airflow and boost pressure.
you can run a bigger turbo at a lower psi and get the same power as a small turbo at higher psi. only difference is the big turbo at lower boost pressures is safer. less heat, less stress. and the bigger turbo is going to pull all the way to redline instead of the small turbo maxing out then curving off as the rpms climb.
of course you have to have a fuel system that can keep up with the greater amount of airflow. but at lower boost pressures the risk of knock and predetonation is lower.

Yea, what peano said...although last I heard a wide band is a wide band.
I have to bite off seth and go with the zeitronix setup.

Anywayz...this is motivation to me to really get started...

im using a safc2 and a wideband that i borrow from my friend he has a PLX M-300 Chris the founder of dsm tuners lol he lives down the street from me.

yah i have had no problem with the 18g it spools quick with a tdo5h turbine wheel (same as the 14b) but the compressor wheel is much larger its a great street turbo for now i catch alot of people slippin around my area

Well now I know , that you can use a larger turbo , just at a lower psi ; that explained by DOHCSTUNR.

    Once again nice job Underated

new numbers needless to say im very very happy i figured out the reason i was getting detonation before its because at 10 psi we were tuning for 12.5:1 now with an 11.2:1 A/f ratio the car runs great even up to 12psi i guess it really does depend on the tuning im still getting pretty high advance in my timing which isnt ideal but for now it works well... next step emanage and highstall torque converter and i'll be done for awhile

But anyways this is probably what you wanted to see
