Motor Trend Test drives the 9G Galant RalliArt...

    Here is the link:
    http://motortrend.com/roadtests/sedan/112_...lant/index.html

This test was back in March 2005. I haven't seen it posted, so i thought Id go ahead and post it, here are some quotes:

"...Galants aren't supposed to slalom at 69 mph. They don't run the quarter mile in 14.4 seconds at 98.5 mph and can't do Motor Trend's figure-eight in 25.7 seconds. And no Galant behaves like an Evo..."

"...It all makes sense--something for the Evo guy who has a family or needs a larger car, but still wants a performer..."

"...this front-drive Ralliart beat through our slalom test are surprising: Its 68.8-mph run is better than those of the 350Z, RX8, and 911 40th Anniversary..."

Wow...I would love to test drive that 9g RalliArt. I have driven a 9g GTS and the car feels ALOT more nimble than a Camry and even a new Accord. Mitsubishi is making good moves...a little pricey and at the EVO's price range, BUT it competing with different cars.

Dammit, why couldn't they do that with the 8g... then it would have the looks and the speed. 6.1 0-60, not bad at all!!

    MazdaSpeed 6 3589lbs
    Ralliart Galant 3700lbs (est)

I dont know about yall but damn these are some fucking close numbers,
i personally think it will all go down on the driver, whoever shifts better and drives better wins

Overall i like the style of the Ralliart over the SE-R and the 6.

Also even thou the galant has more weight than the rest it still keeps up with the rest, so if the galant had less weight it will beat these guys

Im looking at these prices and yeah..there high. Im going to say I guess we choose to put it all into one monthly payment instead of modding something else. Well all know we can mod an 8g to get near the times of this for alot less then 30k .. So I guess we like a monthly payment and no mods needed.

looks like mitsubishi spied on the altime SER designers during the making of both cars........ although they shoulds done that with the 8g,,,less weight,,and mitsubishi definately needs to figure out that the 4g63t is alot better than just increasing displacement...the 4g63t woulda been alot lighter and the 8g is alot lighter than the 9g.....would love to see calis future car or stewis car and a ralliart go head to head.....
