oh i was just about to ask you about all the other stuff you used off of the outlander. one more question tho did you have that intake before you did the swap cuz i was wondering about the diameter of the throttle body and the silicone coupler

yeah if i got this i wouldnt want to have to buy a new intake. also where is your n2o injected at..i dont see a nozzle in the intake..do you use direct port or something?..

and how much did all of the items you listed in swappin the the manifold run you?

edit: is the nozzle injected on the bottom side of the intake for sneakyness? cause i think i see the nozzle in one of the pics on the bottom side of your intake.

I did the intake manifold after I had the aem v2 cai.The silicone coupler will fit right on perfectly. The total cost for everything that I listed from the outlander was about 250.00 I had to shop around for the best prices. My zex nozzle is located at the bottom of the intake you might be able to see it a little.I installed the zex box under the battery so you can't see that either.I still have to cover the wires and do some odds and ends on cleaning up my engine bay.I am going to look into an eclipse strut tower bar and see if it will work on this intake manifold.Hopefully it will if not then most likely I will make a custom one.I worry about the torque from the motor hitting anything behind it.I also have the deyeme racing motor mounts but the engine still moves.I am installing the cmf header today and will take some pics if anyone is interested in seeing them installed. Thanks guys maximus

You know, my Father has a 2WD Outlander, and that thing is pretty bad ass for a 4 banger. The torque on it is great. I love driving it because I can peel out with it. Head to head from a stop, my Father can jump on me for a second or two until my V6 gets going. And that's with IHE on my Galant.

I got cmf header and it seems better. The install went well with no problems but my exhaust isn't up to par with the header.I will have to buy a different set-up.The exhaust I have is the stock exhaust for the gts minus one resonator. It sounds really ricey so it has to go.It has some rasp at certain rpms and I hate it so if anyone has some suggestions let me know. The rpms climb alot smother but I really don't feel the torque and the horsepower this is supposed to be putting out.I also have a check engine light now that I will have to get read this week.I will post some good pics in the am since it is dark now.Later maximus

ill bet money that the check engine light is your o2 sensors...happend to me after i put my header on as well...got them the codes read and thats the code that came up. as far as the rasp i have that as well and im running a custom exhaust.. 2.5 inch piping, magnaflow hfc, and magnaflow race series muffler.. i heard that if you use the magnaflow street series it produces a lower tone, deeper sound that isnt so ricey and is overall better for the i4. you might be stuck with the rasp though just like me an some others..i was also told the rasp is probably because that the o2 sensor is out im burning rich and the poppy rasp sound is unburned gas hitting the exhuast

you wanna get rid of the rasp just get one long resonator installed and some polyurethane exhaust hangers. You can get a resonator with the same inner diameter as the rest of your exhaust so as not to impede flow.

a lot of the aftermarket exhaust raspines and harsh tone is rooted in vibrations created by the deeper sound tones. pulyurethane hangers dampen this vibration.
    i should know.
it fixed the problem on mine. i installed them at every point i could. my exhaust barely even moves now. unlike the worn out and decaying rubber stock hangers that leave everything swaying back and forth.
thats good for eliminating stress on the welds and other joints in your exhaust as well.

you can get them on ebay for around $6 per pair. the resonator will eliminate the rest of the un wanted noise. best part is they are dirt cheap.
your exhaust will sound deep and sexy like a euro car. with little or no harsh tone.
    here is an example
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MITSUBISHI-...1QQcmdZViewItem
this guy will send multiple units at one flat shipping price so count how many you need and get em all at once.
i mean they aren't exactly free. but trust me they do work. i put them on my buddies camaro and we both noticed a difference in the tone.

Here are some pics of the header installed.I will most likley try those hangers and see if it makes a difference.Thanks.Also when I punch it the exhaust moves inward about 4 inches not sure why it is doing that.

I also cleaned under the hood with simple green this made a big difference in the pics it looks alot nicer.Let me know what you guys think. Thanks maximus

be sure to count how many exactly you need and replace them all. even the ones where the downpipe or cat is hung.

With the intake manifolds, those looking for something better check out this link

    http://www.rpw.com.au/Products/Intake%20Sy...fold%20Kits.htm

We have been fitting these designs now to our australian vehicles inlcuding the 1.5, 1.8 and the 2.0 lancers etc and are picking up torque and hp gains across the board. One vehicle picked up 25hp at teh wheels and 19 ft/pd torque across the whole rpm range with tuning.

We made these with the Eclipse boy's but after all there complaining about no one making them, now they are made no one wants to buy one :? Doesn't make sense sometimes.

Anyway if you have any questions on them feel free to ask away - especially on the throttle body options.
