    car won't start

First I thought it was my alarm's starter kill so I tried all the crazy programming sequence to reset the alarm -- open door, key on, key off, push valet button, close door, raise right arm, push valet button again twice, open door, get out of car, close door, open door, get in the car, etc. etc. ... but still no luck. I even tried pulling the alarm fuse out. Nada.

So I tried opening the hood, wiggled all the wires and connectors I could see, pushed all the fuses and relays in the fuse box. Still won't start. Out of frustration, I slammed the hood down, get in the car to try for the last time, voila! It's alive. But after I turned the ignition off, it won't start again  So I tried the hood slam trick once more and it worked. :puzzled1:

So far, it's been working fine but I got the feeling that it's gonna fail again. Is there something under the hood that could come loose and affect starting?

Also with aftermarket alarms they have a button that goes down when you close the hood and anyone who opens it and the alarm isn't disabled the button comes back up and activates the alarm. That button could be rusted, frayed wires and bad.

If I put the key in the "on" position, all the lights and electronics are working. I was thinking more in the line of loose starter relay or fuel pump relay but I was too lazy to check it's location from the service manual last night.
