    5spd opinions

I posted some pics in the other forum and someone stated that i should change my brake pedal, i know that already but have no way of getting the brake pedal right now and my only other brainstorm was to cut it.

What do you guys think? I was thinking bout cutting the paddle to the shape of the clutch paddle, you can see the lightly traced lines i did in pencil on the pad.

i say cut it a little bit, the pedals are a tiny bit too close and every once in a while i'll clip the brake pedal with my shoe on the clutch

    i didnt even notice that

cut it a little, but not as much as you drew with pencil

you sure cuz if i cut too little i will never get a pad on it, I figure the pencil outline i used from the clutch pedal should be right. Or you think thats over kill?

too small....you wont be able to find it

the first couple days would be a pain.....but after
    that, it wouldnt matter much

you can always get some custom pads made

id say about a half inch from where your line is

it will get it out of the way enough to be useful, but wont make it too small

you can even cut at an angle, or a crazy design or something

I'd say cut it to make it look like a brake from an actual m/t car

my suggestion. get your MT pedal pad or pedal covers, first and then use that to decide how much to cut away.

Allan has the right idea. Definitely cut it. If you dont have a pad to trace, use cardboard and trace the clutch pedal and make a cardboard cutout to use as an outline for the brake pedal

i agree. you could easily do it with a dremmel, probably chew up like 10 blades

Ya the lines I traced are a trace of the clutch pedal pad itself. But gonna try to dremmel it off like you say.

Also, the cable where it tells the ECU the car is in park, what do i do with it?
I know i should cut it but where exactly can i put it so its out of the way and will cause no problems?

why not just ground the nuetral safelty switch(pin) on the ecu itself and throw that cable to the dogs?

So all we need to do is ground the cable, and that will let us start the car with no problems

actually i don't know what i was thinking.
its going to be in the starter circuit.

i would just find which wire on the tranny is the nuetral saftey wire, then ground it or whatever.
wheather its on the tranny or in the shifter idk.

but somewhere there is a wire, and thats all it would take.
