    Interesting. ***correction not gl5 it states gm and chrysler trannys.. My fault -- it was still notchier for me but it does not say GL5.

    I can appreciate the info though. Anybody using penzoil? I put royal purple today and instantly noticed a better shift but royal is 18.99 a quart... hmm

    From what i read the evo people use amsoil which is not local for me, oem which is not local, redline cocktail and royal purple.

    i used syncromesh in both swaps i did, never had any issues, and the current owners of these vehicles dont have issues either

    4 quarts of it? or just an additive to something? I was told it was an additive, so I've been using redline gear oil. It's real expensive lol.

    I'm using Pennzoil Synchromesh. No Problems here. I can't comment on how nice it feels though because I've never really driven any other manual cars.. except a '68 Firebird very briefly.

    Keith, it's 3 quarts I believe.

    can anyone post a list of what manual transmissions fit on a 2.4L gallant? and if there are any mods that are needed to do on the engine or transmission to fit it on?
