Tell you what, tommorow after I get out of my finals, I'll grab the stocker and put it on top of the Momo, and we'll see how different the size is.

oh man your next mod should be a permanent fitted jack under the car controlled by a switch or something lol...that thing is always down for something. looks great though ;)

Fatal: Yah...it seems that way, but i guess considering its age, i am expecting to run into some problems. The car though has been real good to me when I needed it to...for the exception of the electrical issue I had several months ago.

Boostz: Well..what you see is pretty much the finished look, I just need to trim here and there and drill for the mounting points. I talked to a guy that knows his stuff when it comes to air flow and aero dynamics and asked him his opinion of me adding a diffuser. He said though it may not be engineered and designed for my car for its aerodynamic characteristics....it will still be a benefit for the car as it will still diffuse air flow from the undercarriage. Yes...its from a STi

Kev, nice. does it span out any more than whats visible from the pics. thats the only reason i hadnt done it with that diffuser yet. it just looks small. i wanted to try an aftermarket diffuser for a WRX as their exhaust exits a little like mine. my car is a frankenstein anyway so why not ya know. looks good so far.

Thats it...its a fairly small diffuser. I was thinking about buying a aftermarket diffuser for a STi..but i just didn't want to spend that type of money right now, though it would look sweet. Plus something bigger would require more fabrication especially if its too short/long/wide, etc etc...and I didn't want to hack a $200+ rear diffuser

I actually like it...I didn't want to get too "busy" on the rear.

yeah i feel ya on hacking up the aftermarket diffuser. and the one you got looks good and subtle just like it should. i just wish there was a bumper like the jdm evo9 rear bumper for the 8g. having a body shop make one like that would probably more of a pain than its worth considering the car is still fwd. i really need to get myself a front splitter to take advantage of this cars handling at higher speeds like in long sweepers. i just dont want it to oversteer too badly.

Man..I am in the same boat, i wish there was something like the JDM Evo 9 bumpers for a 7g, but there just isnt.

I too am on the fence on either adding a front splitter or canards to the front. Either of those will improve frontal downforce.

ive got a set of extreme dimensions canards, i can take pics of them if you want to see if they will fit the 7g bumper better than my jdm 8g. they looked nice but i wanted them to sit flush on the bumper without contorting it too much and it just didnt look like that would happened. let me know. there are four of them to mimic the setup on mine's R34

VIPtint, you should paint your car satin black.

i was gonna run it primer black for a month to see how i like it. if i do that then ill have to do jams and under hood n trunk though. also id do the wheels satin too.

so dont worry youll see it flat black first

  19. #8599
still the toe in is too crazy. i havent taken it to a shop but idk if they can get it to work.

What size are your tyres ?

have you rolled the lip on the inner guard ?

that's some pretty mad camber you got there.

4-G: I don't think that rear diffuser you have there is going to work properly if at all, it's sitting too far back from the rear of the car. You'd need to graft one into the rear bumper for it to be effective.
