    when it become illegal in NY..i know it's illegal in NJ....i had tint in NY on the front windows....i only took it off because it was 15%,and i got a ticket for it, but the cop didn't say it was illegal to have it period

    illegal? this is america!

    ive got 30% all around on my car, and the limit in MN is 50%.

    dont know how it is around the rest of the country, but a couple of officers ive talked to around here told me they dont really pull anyone over just cause of the tint. they would just tack it onto whatever else they were giving you.

    "excessive speeding...ok, disobeying traffic signals...ok, resisting arrest...ok, wait what!? ILLEGAL TINT!? that rat bitin' sonofa!"

    I was told by a police officer that anything below 75% on the front passenger and driver side windows are illegal. But if you've ever seen 75% tint its like having none at all.

    i have 20% all around...I don't get ticketed every month, so i just think of the tickets as a usage fee...Kinda like registration on the car.

    here in NC on the doors the limit is 32% which is what my front doors are going to be and im going to go 5% on the back doors and the back glass..
