2001 Mitsubishi Galant LSyou installed it incorrectly. that's what happens when you rush things too quickly. there shoud be clips which holds it together, try that.
ok, i painted my vent trim and when i went to put it all back together its not working...
the left and right vent trim is what im having problems with. it seems the vents are now real loose. and when i put the trim in it is not flush anymore, has anyone else had this problem, is this an easy fix?

the vent has 3 main pieces. the trim ring, the actual vent itself, and then the back piece that connects to the ductwork for the ac. what i do is put those 3 pieces together and the push them in as one unit.
thank you pinoyesv6, i took the whole unit out, and that did the trick.
