7g 6A12TT Swap!!!

Ok I was looking at prices on ebay for an engine. At first all I wanted to do was a auto to manual conversion and maybe the 4G63TT swap with AWD conversion. Well the parts list price on the manual conversion is around $1200 and I like the 4G63TT but if I can get a V6 all the better. Now the 6A12TT is selling around $1000- $1800 on ebay, hard to find but damn good price, saw one with 42K on it for a total of $1110.23 shipping and insurance included! I figured that I kill two birds with one stone that way, because it has most of the manual parts on the list and I get my V6 TT but now I am hearing that the swap is a pain in the ass and I don't know what other parts I would need after I buy the engine to do the swap. I have a Auto 96 Galant S USDM, no mods as of now. And does anyone have a tutorial and list for this, HELP!!!

I'll field this one guys. SEARCH! There have been threads on this before. But since your new I'll help you out. It is not as simple as swapping out our 4 for the 6a12. There is a reason those are on there for so cheap...no one will buy them! If you have a lot of money to burn that is the swap to do. You would have to re-inforce the front end of the car to handle the extra weight of the engine. If you wanted the all wheel drive, you would have to get a ne gas tank or modify the stock one because the rear differential has nowhere to go on the usdm car. Lastly (as far as I'm concerned) where are you going to get parts for the engine when something goes wrong!? This project would get very expensive and labor intensive. Just an FYI...I'm sure the others might have some more input, but thats my 2 cents

You can TT a 4 cyl motor, its just pointless. Some DB kid around here had a twin turbo civic. I was like you know you only have one manifold right?

i found a 6G72TT on some website...that shit looks too big for a 7G

osakajdmmotors.com says this is a 6G72TT w/5sp tranny for $2500

yes you can fit the vr-4 motor in the 7g b/c the vr-4 7g's over seas have that engine and an awd tranny so yes that motor will fit in the 7g, it's tight but it fits!! i say just get a 4g63t and drop that in instead motor stuff for you to add to it, over here anyway!!
