    Shifter

My shifter is short as it is already, do you think i should or try to get it shorter and if so. What is the best short shifter i should get for the G, those that have them.

I haven't done the swap yet, but i got the B&M style shortshifter off ebay. It looks like it's going to do well.

wel i don't know wtf you were doing to need to shift hard.

Especially since mitsu's need to be shifted gently.

i have no slack in my shift setup through steel basebplate bushings, ball bearing shift cables, and a modified pivot sleeve.

i run the b&m replica from ebay and its fantastic.
    its identicle to the b&m.
even has the roller bearings for the throw so it actually moves easier.

take that, add a weighted shift knob and you will be shifing like butter.

Replica B&M for the win! Are you running a stock shifter bronx? Looks too low for stocker. Short shifter isnt that much shorter, just the throws of the shifts are much shorter.

I bought this short shifter from a guy who's 2g was totalled from a accident. CNC machined and its light too...and I haven't had a problem with it yet. Its really short but I like it alot compared to the semi truck style stock shifter. 8)

gees that's short!! I see you had to come up with a solution to a shifter boot that short.

By the looks of it, do you need the stock manual shift trim? Your trim around your shifter looks a little off to me...
Oh i see, i guess you just cut a whole in the stock rubber shift boot.
Nice knob, do they make that with a blue diamond star?

I had to cut the stock shift boot because if I tried to screw the knob down it wouldn't go into 1st or 2nd gear. I fabricated something and have been looking for a A/T shifter bezel. I no longer have that knob...sold it couple of months ago.
