ok, so how about the silverstars or silverstar ultra thigns they just came out with???
light output > brightness/color (for me atleast, lol)
Hey Guys,
Just wanted to post a brief heads up on a review that I did real fast.
Basically, I took the old OEM Sylvania's and replaced them with the cool blues and at first it was not that noticeable of a difference but now reviewing the pictures and looking at the lights vs the old there's a huge difference in the color of the lights...even my buddy with HID's in his RSX-S was impressed because they out beamed his on high.
Now keep in mind in these pictures they don't really capture the full beam effect, that was never the plan as my camera is incapable of taking good night shots...mainly it was to show the color difference.
5/5 - Best $30 I ever spent on my car!
So, some pictures;

I can't imagine they can be any 'whiter' in terms of light output. I did put the Silverstars in my Thunderbird but the Cool Blue's were actually more expensive than the SS.
I was trying to stay away from the retarded blue look that makes you a target for cops that tends to be the color of choice for ricers around here.
Light output increased defintley, I find my self almost blinding my self when people have shiny rear chrome bumpers and Im behind them at a light.
The only HUGE notice, was that street signs dont light up quite as good without highs on (with the highs on though, 10x better) because the cut off becomes even more distinct than it already was.

what modding did you do? did you replace the stock wiring?

Nothing harness wise, these aren't HID's I'm not too worried about it taking out a harness...

Well it was either these or the PIAA's but I'm not one to go out and spend a lot of money on lights lol!

i've had the piaa's, but switched to the sylvania's ultra light output looks the same or even brighter
cool blue is one of the old products of sylvania, they made silverstar and ultra light after that.
i have cool blues in my escort. i bought new headlights for it after i got the car last year because the old ones were really hazed and got the cool blues. to this day they still work great.
