    Mivec DOHC fit 4 cyl???

    Saw this over at Club3g

They are saying that the Evo IX DOHC MIVEC head may fit the 4cyl. Just thought this would be interesting for you guys wanting to do the DOHC conversion. Something to look into.

I think that is for the 4g63 not the 4g64 that the galant has

In theory yes...but the issue is controlling the MIVEC engagement. Much like the 1st generation 4G63's ..the cylinder head can be swapped and put on 4G64's. Now with the 2nd generation 4G63's (EVO 5-9)...in theory you can do the same by swapping the DOHC cylinder heads on the 2nd generation 4G64's.

*The difference between the 1st generation 4G63 and 4G64's is that the 2nd generation 4G63 and 4G64's the pulleys and transmission are on the opposite side.*
