depends how much you get the tranny parts from the junkyard.

    Junkyard parts : 950 -
    Hard/Soft lines
    Shifter cables
    Shifter assembly with brackets
    Brake pedal
Clutch pedal with clutch safety switch and cables
    Passenger side axle
    Tranny
    Reverse light harness
    Speed sensor harness
    Tranny plate
brake booster - don't know why they gave me this
brake fluid reservoir and lines - ^^
master cylinder - good shape but bought new instead
    slave cylinder - broken
    immobilizer - not used
manual ecu - to be connected

    New stuff I got :

    Dealer parts :
    New Slave cylinder : 65
    New Master cylinder : 105
    New tranny mount : 115

    Misc stuff :
Brass underhood bushing kit : 33
Short shifter with bushing kit : 42
    Quaife : 1125
    Spec Stage 2 clutch : 240
    Fidanza Flywheel : 240
    Penzoil Syncromesh (3 quarts) : 20
    Evo shift knob : 75
Evo shifter base with ring : 30

Wasting gas on stupid fun runs to break in the clutch : priceless

5 speed V6, oh how I wish to join this TGC VIP Club someday...

Now the car has good power to backup its looks...it must be a sweet feeling.

just wondering too, what will it run the 1/4 in now? 15ish?

LOL yeah it does too fast. 1st gear is useless.
I can agree with that. The I4 trans and V6 trans use the same gears and even with mine revving to 8500, first gear is pretty useless.

my dad says that he thinks the evo internals would fit in the 8g tranny

since you partially own a evo I figured id ask you

either way, that sounds good, im gonna try getting a broken set of gears from one of the EVO guys just to do some sort of test fitting. i wouldnt use OEM EVO gears, however I know a company who makes longer EVO gears, all I really want is a longer 1st and 3rd gear

u jacked my shift knob and clutch!

one thing that needs a correction is that the 01 passenger side axle is like the 99-00 axles. the auto tranny axle is too long so u need the axle from the manual tranny.

i'm jealous u got the lsd. thats one thing i still need to get
    Your signature is too long.

I'm changing my shift knob again. I got a sick deal on the new MR one. I love this clutch, great minds think alike eh .... I have the stage 2 though. The pedal is really really nice.

Interesting note on the axle. The other guy here with a v6 swap.. 8gV65spd didn't replace axles, although his donor car was an 03 V6 Eclipse. Gotta love Mitsubishi and its different year parts.

Definitely get the LSD. A world of difference.
