Ah, gotcha. I had an incident with a curb and my G, and I damaged the downpipe area. The insurance guy said they have to replace the entire part (OEM mitsu is $1400) so I bought the RIPP header and they're putting it on. I'll need to do some work to get this to bolt up to my Cat-back since I modified that from Cali to fed Spec, and now I need to modify my cat-back to Cali spec again....my buddy works at Merlin Muffler and can do the welding for me for $50....so I'm good. I just hope there's no problem with the shop installing a part with no cat-converters.

Yeah, this is why I'm waiting till I get back to Arkansas to get it all installed. They probably won't give two shits about it. I wish I could weld because I really don't like anybody working on my car any more. I was able to install this entire SDS kit myself including the emanage ultimate, injectors, fuel pump, etc. so I wish I could just install the headers also.

just install the headers and drive to the shop... or better yet get a tow to the shop. if you are in AAA autoclub the tow will be free or cheap.
then there you go, save a ton of money on labor.
