    Strut assembly dissasembly

Hey guys need some help. Im trying to get my coilovers installed on my 01 es. Having trouble taking the bolt off for strut assembly any idea how that could be done, because the nut keeps turning and on the other side it has a rubber gasket and 4 button end on it. Any ideas?

if im thinking the right bolt, you need to stock an allen wrench in the center and then turn the nut with the wrench.

Webhosting for less than $3 a month? put "pinoyesv6" as a promo code.

ohh your talking about the stabilizer bar end link, those are a bitch. Best advice to you, try to spray them with WD40 or PB Blaster and let them sit for like 15 mins, then try it, I know the nut is a 14mm and the allen wrench I think is a 10mm. If you cant get it off the strut, try taking it off the stabilizer bar end, if you can get it off the stabilizer bar end, just take it off and remove it still attatched to the strut and just buy new ones, they are dirt cheap, I got a set from the dealer for $30. If you dont want to do that, you can try grab the bolt with vice grips thru the rubber boot, but most likely you will just mess it up like that

yeha my fathers diamante has a similar front suspension to the 8g.
i upgraded his struts to gr-2's a while back.

knowing good and well that the endlinks would be a potential trouble spot, I sprayed them down twice a day for a week prior to actually servicing them.
then when it came time to replace the struts, the endlinks came loos no problems, and no strippage either.

i pretty much do this for all my suspension components

when i put my new shocks on I had alot of problems with the stablizer bar end link. becuase it just spins freely with that ball baring. It took us about 2 hours to get it un-bolted. because it was all rusted up and the hex-wrench socket got stripped right away. so i had to use vice grips on the back. in the process i ripped the rubber boot to shreads. is this a big deal? or should i look into replacing it?
