Oil Stat Temp

I asked this over at Temp TGC, but couldn't look if anyone answered it in time. So damn.

Anyway I was wondering what the operating temperature of our transmissions are (I have a 6G72).

Most of the Oil Stats are rated at about 180 Degrees, is that right for our trannys too?

I have been thinking about buying B&M's BMM-70259 Oil Stat which listes for 60-70 bucks. Is that a good price? Can anyone get em cheaper?

normal operating temp for our tranny is between 158 and 176 degrees fahrenheit.
