got me one of those short shifters off ebay and decided to install it today. Wow! you can feel the difference instantly. Although now the stick is taller than my original stock, the throws are pheonominal and going thru the gears is cake. I do plan on cutting the shifter and making it a lil shorter, then i can really buzz thru the gears.

skateboard beaigns in the cables helps too,
and if you don't have baseplate bushigns, get a set. and get the metal ones, not the energy, i switched from energy to steel ones and the difference is night and day.
my shifter feels like a ferrari shifter now.

I got the skateboard bearings and they are too small to fit, got a pic of what i am suppose to do with em.

Well i had the shifter cut today, with it giving me shorter throws and now cut even shorter. THe shifting is amazing. Glad i finally did this mod.

hey bronx, how much did you cut off of the shifter cuz i just picked up a megan racing one and was thinking about cutting it down so its not sticking up out of the shift boot.
