    NITROUS!

What kit works the best with a 7G? (NOS, NX, ZEX, VENOM?)

What is the easiest to install?

What HP range should we stay in, on a non-modified 7G, without blowing up the engine?

What are the best accessories to get? (bottle warmer, remote opener, etc.)

Where is the best place (online) to buy a kit?

Who has any of these kits, and how do you like it?

(P.S. - Yes, ViciousLord, I know there is a search function. If you take you own advice and try the search, you'll see that there is no discussion of Nitrous on a 7G. There was some on the old forum, but none here)

Those who have nos in thier car chane/and vegasmatt (ithink) have the Zex setup, maybe ask them they can give u a better idea of the right direction to go in, also u cant just put nos in your car without making some serious mods, mostly for protection ie, stock tranny would go in a heartbeat

I kinda like the ZEX setup, but they didn't have the Galant specificaly listed. I figured it would work, but which model should I look for?

As far as upgrades, what would I need to upgrade?
I thought that as long as you don't use too large a shot and not too often, the stock setup would work?

    Thanks

I got a load of help on this a month ago. I am in the works to get my 7g on the Happy Gas.
Mitsuman is right, an increase in horses that nitrous will give you will obliterate you A/T in the blink of an eye. That was the first thing Shane told me to upgrade, he suggested a Level10 upgrade. I went crazy though and bought a M/T for a Talon. Swap coming soon to a drag strip near you
The next step is to bulletproof my internals I guess, though I am still not exactly clear on what that means. I am getting the camshaft from VisionImports and a port and polish. Other than that I don't know what it is I really need but I am not at that stage yet so I haven't asked. With all that done I should be able to push like a 25 shot I think.

I have not decided between ZEX or Venom yet, proly ZEX though. The universal kits for an I4 is all ya need. $600 last time I checked. I was gonna work with RPW to build a Quad Throttle Body for the 7g but no one seemed very interested in a 75% HP increase for some reason, bastards! A certain DJ named Play talked me out of doing it too because it would make my car inpractical as a daily driver. Turbo is kewl, but to much money!

I know I fergot stuff but that's all I can think of right now, I plan to make a full like tutorial kinda thing on my 7g on nitrous; things to look for, stuff to buy, how to's and all that + pics. I have already started it but it won't be ready until my car is done sometime next summer.

    I have a 96 S w/MT. Would the stock MT be able to handle a 50 shot?
If not, what should be upgraded on the MT?

    2True -
With all that done I should be able to push like a 25 shot I think
Doesn't the Zex start at 55 shot?

Hmmm yes I believe it does. LOL it was a guess. maybe it's 75 then I can't remember what Shane said...

You may want the Level10 kit for you M/T just in case.

if u are looking for performance i would do other mods before i go the whole NOS route, visionimports put together a nice stage1 upgrade what will add about 50hp maybe more,...a new tranny is a must, levelten can bulletproff ur tranny...u are in good shape since u are already 5 speed,...if anything i would go with a dry nitrous, direct port nitrous is the best and safest. It guarantees that EACH cylinder receives the same amount of nitrous.
wet system adds both nitrous and fuel in hopefully a correctly measured about for all rpms. A dry system just adds nitrous and lets the ECU do the mixing. The advantage to a wet system is you can go far above the fuel flow of the injectors when you add nitrous and you dont have to fiddle with the ecu programming and it's cheap. A correctly set up dry system can cost more, only works within the current injector flow (want more flow buy bigger injectors) and for best results the ECU should have a separate map for nitrous (basically pig rich).

This is the kind of things great prank calls are made of. I am still waiting for either Dean or Jesse to post a link to that somewhere, I have worn out my welcome on most file servers.

For those that are scratching their heads, call your local Circuit city and tell them your NOS sub needs a refill.

ViciousLord, seriously, lighten up man, I was JK!
Do you know EVERYTHING there is to know about this car? Neither do I, although you probably know more. That IS what this board is for.
I started to get interested just before the old board shit the bed, so all of the knowledge compiled on it was lost to me.
That's why I made this a sticky, so other FNG's won't have to ask this again.

Anyway, How did you like the ZEX? did you make any internal engine or transmission mods before using nitrous?

P.S. And yes, I do care what you think.

The NOS Bass Tube adds a 100 shot of NOS to your car, only problems is finding a place to get it refilled.....dont get it?.....i gotta find a web server to host this phone call Josh made to Circuit City asking for a refil, its has got to be the funniest call ever, if u want to hear it PM me or leave your email, its friggin hilarious

I've got the Nitrous works universal EFI wet kit. I've been running the 75 shot jets for a little less than a year now without any problems. I like the nitrous works kit b/c of the simplicity. Just arm it and kill the throttle. Make sure to get a purge valve. Not only does it look and sound bad at a light, but gives you a fresh dose of juice.

The only thing I have under the hood dean is an 2.4l sohc 4g64, intake and cat back exhaust. No ignition or fuel mods. I'm spraying fuel and n2o so it doesn't run lean. I have a air/fuel gauge and it always runs rich when I'm on the bottle. I pm'ed you about some things, did you get it?
