    ****Help Brakes Not Working Properly*******

The red brake warning dash light came on this morning, and I noticed excessive movement "travel" in the brake pedal. The brake pedal goes farther down than normal or than it was intended to. I pretty much have to slam the brake pedal to the floor to stop the car at low speeds. Do you think its just its something simple as being low on brake fluid, or do you think its a more serious issue like a problem with brake master cylinder. I'm not leaking brake fluid anywhere so I don't know what the fuck problem is :?: :?:

The light on the dash would mean its low on fluid. If its just low, fill it up. If its completely out or very low, you may have a leak soemwhere in the lines. Look for shiny wet brake lines on each caliper, try filling it up and bleed the lines one corner at a time, look for leaks there.

damn. hopefully, your brake fluid didnt get low enough that it sucked in air and now you got air in your master cylinder.

If you ended up with low fluid you might have air in your lines and will have to bleed the line.

check the condition of the pads. the fluid level will be low if the pads are pretty worn also.

The Master Cylinder is gone and the brake fluid was low because the battery I had in the car was too big and was pushing the brake fluid container out of place.

How much do Master Cylinder's run for roughly?
